Honestly, this was unimaginative and just plain uninteresting. There’s basically no character development. If you're trying to show someone’s regret about their family and kids, maybe actually show a meaningful conversation between them? Give us something real.
As for the thriller side of it, why make it so obvious who’s going to die? All the “bad” people get killed off, while the “good” ones, and conveniently, the big-name stars on the villain side, survive? Come on. If the world really worked in such neat moral terms, we wouldn’t have billion-dollar blockbusters preaching about shared humanity while the executives at the top couldn’t care less about creative rights.
