It is a film about film genres, the dreams that created by cinema. But what I found sad about this film is the lack of interests of the time and social fabrics that created that genre, as well as the courage to critically either reflect on the genre like There’s Still Tomorrow (2023) or actually go closer to the times where it was set, especially for the buddhism part, it indeed is a form of orientalism. Because films are not only dreams, and it would be very pathetic if the cinematic world pretend it can just be that.
